About the event
Explore the southern edge of ancient Jerusalem on a powerful journey through Ketef Hinnom, the Hinnom Valley, and Mount Zion—a landscape steeped in history, mystery, and meaning. We begin among the rock-cut burial caves of Ketef Hinnom, where archaeologists uncovered the oldest known biblical texts.
Using the longest suspension footbridge in the country, we cross the Hinnom Valley, once a place of ancient ritual and later reborn as a green space of renewal, complete with a biblical period farm and stunning views.
We will discover ancient walls and relatively modern cable cars and tunnels. We will pass sites linked to prophets and kings.
Along the way, you’ll hear stories that connect archaeology with faith and ancient texts with living tradition. This tour weaves together nature, history, and spirituality—perfect for anyone seeking to understand Jerusalem from the ground up.
